About This Project

Replacing two ageing boilers in a live building is never straightforward, and this project was no exception. The work had to be staged carefully to keep central heating running at all times - losing heat entirely was not an option. The old boilers each weighed close to 1,000 kg. With no access for lifting equipment, both had to be broken down into sections and manually carried down the stairs. New, energy-efficient systems were installed in their place. The result is improved performance, lower running costs, and a much simpler setup to maintain.
